Webb is a graduate of OBU and has a Masters degree in education. She
is an experienced teacher of 27 years. Her teaching experience
includes 2nd grade at Holdenville, Kindergarten/Remedial Reading at
Chattanooga, Gifted & Talented at Ringwood/Ames, 1st and 2nd grade
with elementary music at Felt, 1st grade at Stillwater and Guymon,
3rd grade at Boise City, 8 years were spent teaching
7th Geography, 7th English, 6th World History, 6-8 Quiz Bowl, 6-8
Scholastics, and 6-8 Gifted at Watonga Middle School. Mrs. Webb also
planned 5 educational trips to Washington D.C., Chicago,
Williamsburg, San Antonio, and Orlando for her Scholastic teams. Her
Quiz Bowl teams have won many awards along with winning State one
year. Her Scholastics teams have won numerous individual, class
champion, and Sweepstakes awards along with many individuals placing
1st, 2nd, or 3rd at the State competition. She also individually won
several coaching awards. Mrs. Webb has just completed her first year
at DCES teaching
5th grade Reading, Grammar,
Writing, and Social Studies.
Mrs. Webb is also very involved outside of school. She owned and
operated Windsong Piano Studio teaching private piano to 29 students
after school, and groomed girls for various pageant and talent
competitions. She has been a church pianist since graduating from
college and has directed several children and adult choirs
performing Christmas pageants and musicals. Mrs. Webb has had lead
roles in community theatre and loves to read, watch movies, and work
outside in her yard,
and play with her new granddaughter, Khaki Lynn.
Mrs. Webb is married to Tom Webb who is a girls basketball,
softball, and track coach and who is the brother to Oklahoma's
famous songwriter, Jimmy Webb. They have two grown children, the
first being Dia, who has her masters degree in vocal performance.
Dia was the talent winner & Top Ten five times at Miss Oklahoma, has
won numerous talent competitions, and won Miss Oklahoma USA 1999 and
made the Top Ten Miss USA. She currently sings for Crystal Cruise
Lines. Chauncey, their son, played basketball on a full
scholarship to Oklahoma Northern Junior College and later played for OBU
and ran track. He spent two years as the creator and owner of Main
Street Coffee House (a ministry based business) in Salt Lake City
and was employed with Edmond's Life Church and is currently running
his own business remodeling businesses and homes. He and his
wife Jennifer are currently making their home in Edmond. Mrs. Webb
has 2 babies (dogs) at home that keep her company, Tucker and Rafiki. |
