Patty Nelson joined Deer Creek Elementary School for the 2006/07
school year. Patty and her husband, Ron, moved to Edmond in January
2006 from southern California. Prior to their relocation, Patty
served as the Administrative Assistant for the Director of Secondary
Education with the Las Virgenes Unified School District in
Calabasas, CA. Previous to that, Patty was the District/School
Secretary for the Santa Ynez School. Her previous background was in
corporate America serving as Executive Assistant to the C.O.O. of a
large corporation in Los Angeles.
Patty’s son, Jeff, is Manager of Information Technology at the
Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and her daughter, Angie Simonton,
is a teacher at the Deer Creek High School.
Patty and Ron look forward to spending lots of time with family and
getting to know Oklahoma.
