Hello and welcome to first grade!  I am so glad to be a part of the Deer Creek Elementary School family.  I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.

            I attended Fort Hays University in Kansas where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. 

            After teaching for five years in Kansas my husband’s business brought us to Oklahoma City in1990. Kevin is the owner operation of Oklahoma City Special Events Company.  His crew serves food and drinks at the State Fair, The Zoo and the Convention Centers. 

            Since moving to Oklahoma City I have taught first and second grade reading at Christ the King Elementary school and first and second grade at Harvest Hills Elementary in Putnam City.  Currently I am part of the wonderful first grade team here at Deer Creek Elementary School. 

            Kevin and I have three children who all graduated from P.C North High School.  Our oldest daughter Carrie is a realtor for Keller Williams. Her husband John owns and operates Martin Electric. Our son Kyle is an Oil and Gas attorney and his wife Ashley is the co-owner and publisher of The Brides of Oklahoma Magazine. Kyle and Ashley recently had a baby girl, Kate Corinne. Needless to say we are thrilled to welcome our first grandchild!   Our youngest daughter Allison is the editor for The Brides of Oklahoma magazine and her husband Brian is a Land Man.           

            In addition to our three children and their spouses we also claim three cats, Femer, Misty and Frankie.  All three are strays with questionable pedigrees who  enjoy making their homes with us!

            In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to travel, shop, garden and read. After many years of teaching, one of my greatest joys continues to be spending time with the children in my class!
