I
find teaching to be very exciting and rewarding. I have over
15 years of experience in education. I have taught Pre-K,
Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
grades. This past year I taught Kindergarten at DCES. I am
thrilled to be part of the amazing Kindergarten team.
My
family lives in Edmond. My husband, Michael, works for Square D.
He grew up in Lawton, OK and enjoys golfing and Sooner football.
Our daughters, Lauren and Rachel, also attend Deer Creek schools.
They enjoy activities such as soccer, girl scouts, Wii games, chess,
arts and crafts, and playing with our 2 adorable dogs.
After moving a lot in our previous “Army life”, it is terrific to
set down roots in this wonderful community. We lived in Georgia,
North Carolina, Germany, and Florida before moving to Edmond in
2006.
I
grew up near Atlanta, GA. I received my B.A. in elementary
education from Newberry College (SC) and my Master’s degree in early
childhood education from The University of South Carolina. In my
spare time I enjoy reading, movies, and board games. My family and
I also enjoy trips to visit relatives, the park, library, and pool.
In addition, we attend Quail Springs Baptist Church.
I
feel very blessed that our journey has brought us to Oklahoma. The
future looks bright and we are glad that Deer Creek Elementary is a
part of it. The staff and atmosphere at DCES are truly remarkable.
As a teacher and a parent, I am so pleased to belong to such a
quality school. |
