I have had the pleasure of being at Deer Creek Elementary since I first started teaching in 2002.  All but one of those years has been spent with 3^rd grade.  I fell in love with Great Expectations, and so in 2005, I became an instructor for them teaching methodology during the summer.  In 2007 I earned my National Board Certification.  For as long as I can remember, I have had a heart for education.  It is a joy to teach using the little moments of each day for learning as well as having a blast with the kids!

 I have lived in Oklahoma since my father retired from the Army when I was a freshman in high school.  That is a long time compared to moving every two years!  I attended Oklahoma Baptist University and received my Bachelors in Elementary Education.

 I am very close to my family, who live nearby, except for my younger sister who lives in Phoenix.  I was married in November of 2007 to Raymond.  We enjoy life together serving in our church, playing games, picnics at the lake, watching reality TV, frequent runs to get ice cream, and most importantly spending time with family and friends!
