 Mrs. Goodin who has over twenty years teaching experience, joined the Deer Creek Elementary staff in 2003. Besides her collegiate accomplishments of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology; a Bachelor of Elementary Education; and a Masters of Education in Reading, she is an active participant in professional organizations. Mrs. Goodin is a National Board Certified teacher with a certificate of Early Childhood/Generalist. A few years ago, Mrs. Goodin was selected as a delegate to the National Convention of Science Teachers and spearheaded the renovation of the science curriculum in her school. To supplement her desire for innovative teaching materials, she applied for and received ten grants from the Okmulgee Education Foundation. over an eight year period.

Mrs. Goodin moved to the Oklahoma City area to be near her children and their families. Her pastimes include spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her sister and enjoying nature within the varied environments in the United States and abroad.
