I have had the joy of being at Deer Creek Elementary since I first started teaching in 2002. All but one of those years I have been with the third grade. I fell in love with Great Expectations, and so in 2005, I became an instructor for them and teach methodology during the summer. For as long as I can remember, I have had a heart for education. It is a joy to teach using the little moments of each day for learning as well as having a blast with the kids!

I have lived in Oklahoma since my father retired from the Army when I was a freshman in high school. That is a long time compared to moving every two years! I attended Oklahoma Baptist University and received my Bachelors in Elementary Education.

I am very close to my family who live nearby, except for my younger sister who lives in Phoenix. I am engaged to a wonderful man and I will become Mrs. Harris this fall!When I'm not working on things for school, I stay busy with my church, reading, being crafty, watching reality TV, and most importantly spending time with family and friends!
