I am very excited to be
starting another year at Deer Creek Elementary! My teaching
career started after I obtained a Bachelor of Science in
Elementary Education from Oklahoma Christian University. After
teaching 12 years at Living Word Academy, a private school, I
gained a Masters of Learning Disabilities from UCO. With this
degree, in 1991, I started my 16 years of teaching with McLoud
Public Schools. During these years, I have been privileged to
teach children from Pre-K to High School. I love teaching and
can’t wait to begin working with the children again here at Deer
Creek Elementary.
In addition to teaching,
family is very important to me. I have two grown children:
Lori, is an Assistant Principal and a Pre-K teacher at Noble
Elementary
and Jason, an oilfield salesman in Oklahoma City. I have 5
beautiful grandchildren.
My hobbies are traveling,
shopping, gardening, and spending time with Harry, my Scottish
terrier. I am a member of the Edmond Church of Christ.
