I am very excited that this will be my first year at Deer Creek Elementary!  My teaching career started after I obtained a B.S. in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Christian University.  After teaching 12 years at Living Word Academy, a private school, I gained a Masters of Learning Disabilities from UCO.  With this degree, in 1991, I started my 16 years of teaching with McLoud Public Schools.  During these years, I have been privileged to teach children from Pre-K to High School.  I love teaching and can’t wait to begin working with the children here at Deer Creek Elementary.

        In addition to teaching, family is very important to me.  I have two grown children:  Lori, a Pre-K teacher at Charles Haskell in Edmond and Jason, an oilfield salesman in Oklahoma City.  I also have 3 beautiful grandchildren and one on the way!       

        My hobbies are traveling, shopping, gardening, and spending time with Harry, my Scottish terrier.  I am also an active member at Edmond Church of Christ.
