I am thrilled to be teaching at Deer Creek Elementary School!!  I have been teaching in many different schools across the United States for 16 years including Oklahoma. 

I received my bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Oklahoma City University and my Master’s in Elementary Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. I am currently completing another masters in Reading. I have also had the opportunity to work for the SRA/McGraw-Hill Publishing Co. as a consultant in Florida and Georgia.

I have been married to Mel for 34 years. We have 3 grown sons, Buddy,Tony, and Brian.  Two wonderful daughter-in-laws, Jenny and Sarah, and two beautiful grandchildren, Rachel and Conner. Oh, and 2 dogs, Laddie and Zeus.

I enjoy being with my grandchildren, riding horses, and all outdoor activities.
