Dear Students & Parents,
Welcome back for another great year at Deer Creek Elementary! This will be my third year teaching with Deer Creek. Before that I taught at Van Buren Elementary in Oklahoma City. I am honored to have the privilege of being your child’s teacher and working with such a fantastic staff this year.  Children are such a joy to teach and be around. I am thrilled to help them build long lasting relationships, learn many skills, and explore curriculum inside and outside of the classroom.
 

Teaching is and will always be my passion. I intend to give your child an amazing experience throughout their school year with fun and learning. I can’t wait to get to know my new classroom family and begin an exciting new year!  Please be sure to check our class webpage often. Here is a little something about myself. I grew up in Oklahoma City. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with two degrees, one in Elementary Education and the other in Art Education. I have taken courses in Great Expectations, A+ Schools, Love and Logic, and Core Knowledge.
I will need your support in having a successful year. I believe together we can ensure that your child will have the best learning experience possible while keeping their personal needs in mind.
 

My husband, Ben is recently retired from Pharmaceutical sales. We are blessed with two wonderful daughters who have in turn blessed us with four wonderful grandchildren. We also have a loving Ragdoll kitten named Sparkle.
