My name is MaryAnne Sherman and I am so excited to be 

teaching fourth grade at Deer Creek Elementary this year! 

This promises to be a year of fun and learning!

   I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree

in Elementary Education and a degree in Art Education. Prior to 

coming to Deer Creek, I taught first and second grade in Oklahoma 

City.  Last year I joined the incredible teachers of Deer Creek, 

Prairie Vale as a second grade teacher and this year I look forward

to teaching fourth grade with the incredible Deer Creek Elementary 

staff.

   My training includes Great Expectations, Core Knowledge, Love and Logic,

and A+ Schools.  I look forward to teaching Reading and Social Studies, and 

can't wait to get started.

   My husband, Ben, retired from Pharmaceutical Sales this year and is 

getting used to many changes in his life. We are blessed with two wonderful 

daughters who have in turn blessed us with four wonderful grandchildren.

Both of our daughters are educators. We also have a loving new Ragdoll kitten 

named Sparkle.

   I am looking forward  an awesome year with the parents and students of 

Deer Creek Elementary.
