It is going to be a fantastic year in third grade! I feel so blessed to be at Deer Creek Elementary. It is such an excellent school and district! Ever since I was a little girl it has been my dream to become an elementary teacher. I am so excited that my lifelong dream is finally here! My true passion is caring for students and being a part of their growth and success. I have discovered that I absolutely love seeing the moment when the light bulb goes on and students finally get it.

I recently graduated with a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Arkansas. Even though I went to Arkansas, I was born and raised in Oklahoma City. It is fun to be back in my true home with my family again.

In June 2009, I was married to my high school sweetheart, Rex. He recently graduated from John Brown University. It is so wonderful to finally be living in the same town together! We love to watch movies, spend time with our family, and play tennis together.

I am looking forward to all of the learning experiences that we are going to have this year in third grade! Every student is unique, so it is my goal to meet their various learning needs throughout the year. I can not wait to get to know all of you!
