Alison Murbach-Hawkins
Second Grade |

My name is Alison Murbach-Hawkins. I’m so excited to be
part of such a wonderful school and staff.
This past January, I moved to Edmond with my husband,
Michael, from Palatine, Illinois. Once the boxes were
unpacked and the dust had settled from our move, I began
to substitute teach in the Deer Creek District. I fell
in love with the students and staff.
I
am thrilled to become an official member of the Deer
Creek Family!
I hold a Bachelor of Arts
in English Literature, Sociology and Anthropology
from Lake Forest College in Illinois and a certificate
in Elementary Education from Barat College, also in
Ilinois, where I finished Summa Cum Laude. The Oklahoma
State Department of Education has certified me in
Elementary Education, Early Education, and English.
My son, Eric, will be a sophomore at the University of
Oklahoma where he is studying biology. He hopes to
attend medical school at Oklahoma University. Mike and I
love watching Eric goal tend for the UCO Broncho’s ice
hockey team.
I can’t wait to meet everyone! “Teaching is not a
profession, it’s a PASSION.”
