Welcome to Kindergarten!  My name is Meredith Harrison and I am very excited to be teaching at DCES this year.  This is my third year teaching in the Deer Creek Public Schools and it is a wonderful place to be. I was born and raised in Edmond and love living here.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with my bachelors in Early Childhood Education in 2006.  In 2007, I married my high school sweetheart, Chris Harrison.  He is currently in Pharmacy School at the OU Health Sciences Center.  This summer, we got our first baby, a yellow lab named Ellie.  She is a precious puppy but she is trouble!  I love traveling, reading, and OU football! 

I believe every child is capable of learning and has the ability to succeed in my classroom.  It is important to focus on children’s strengths in the classroom instead of only focusing on areas that may need improvement.  I want my students to feel they can succeed in anything they do.  I also believe it is extremely important for all children to feel loved and accepted for who they are.
