Books and kids!  What a wonderful combination to have in my job.  I am excited for the opportunities to promote reading everyday at DCES.  I love to talk about what I’ve read lately and get ideas from students and teachers.  My students at Deer Creek are big readers and some of my best book recommendations come from them.

            Another bright spot of being a librarian at DC is working with the parents who volunteer in the library!  I really appreciate all the support and friendship that I have experienced here at Deer Creek.

            Before coming to DCES, I taught various classes in English, drama, speech, debate, media, and teacher preparation.  I have now had the privilege of teaching all grade levels, K-12--something I consider one of my finest accomplishments.
