My name is Kali Clark and I am so
grateful to be teaching first grade at Deer Creek Elementary
School. I grew up in Edmond and graduated from Oklahoma State
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood
Education. In addition to my college training, I have
educational training in programs such as Literacy First, Great
Expectations, A+ and Schools Attuned. This will be my fifth year
to teach in the Deer Creek School District.
Children are truly my passion and I am
so thankful to be working in such an amazing school, alongside
an incredible group of teachers and staff, as well as wonderful
and supportive Deer Creek families! I believe that children
learn best when they can relate their learning experiences to
their life and when they feel comfortable and confident taking
risks as learners. I feel it is important to build a classroom
community in which all students are engaged and feel safe
working together to solve problems and learn from one another.
I have a wonderful family that includes
a younger sister, Tara, who recently graduated from the
University of Oklahoma. My husband, Josh, works as a landman in
the oil and natural gas business. We just celebrated our two
year anniversary in May! We have four precious dogs: Cayenne,
Pepper, Huey and Juno. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy
reading, cooking, watching movies and traveling.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to
call or e-mail me throughout the school year. I consider it a
great privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility to teach
your child and I look forward to a great year!
