Leslie Bravo
Speech Pathologist |
|

Hello everyone!! My name is Leslie Bravo and I’m the speech
language pathologist at Deer Creek Elementary School. I’m so
excited to be part of this wonderful staff, and look forward to
working with the students and parents at DCES.
I
graduated with my B.A. and M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from
Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!!!). I taught in Moore for
several years after graduation and then stayed home to raise my five
sons—yes, FIVE BO YS!!! Before coming to DCES, I worked at
Frontier Public School in Red Rock, OK for 11 years.
My
husband, Mark, is a running coach/consultant and a writer in the OKC/Edmond
area. And no, I do not run, but I love to walk and completed the
2008/2010 OKC Memorial Half Marathon. I also love to cycle and am a
certified PADI scuba-diver. The ocean is a favorite vacation
destination of mine. My favorite activity, however, is spending
time with my family. My 2 oldest sons are married and have blessed
me with 3 grandchildren (2 of which are GIRLS). I have 2 sons in
college, one of which is a newlywed, and my youngest is a senior
attending Stillwater High School.
I’m a third generation educator so you could say teaching
is in my blood. Teaching children to communicate, to the best of
their ability, is my passion. I love children and feel blessed to
have the opportunity to work with them. We are going to have a
fantastic year!!! |
