For the past six years I've been teaching preschool at a private preschool in Edmond, and prior to that I taught second grade in the Edmond schools.  I have my master's degree in elementary education, and I'm certified in early childhood education.

My husband and I both grew up in Nebraska, but we've lived all over the Midwest.  We arrived in Edmond in 1997 and have felt so fortunate to be in such a family oriented community.  Our oldest daughter is in nursing school at OU, and our son will be a freshman there this fall.  We're not very excited about being "empty nesters," but at least they'll be close by.  We all love college football in our family and are anxiously anticipating the upcoming season.

In my free time I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and walking our cocker spaniel, Beau.  We value our church home and enjoy spending time there as well.

I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and your precious children.  I know that Deer Creek Elementary is going to be such a blessing to me, and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
