Welcome to Deer Creek Elementary!  My name is Amber Neaves  and  I am looking forward to the privilege of being your child’s teacher.  I am excited about stepping back into the classroom after taking time off to be a mom.

I was born and raised right here in Oklahoma City.  I graduated from P.C. North High School and attended OU and UCO, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  I taught 3^rd and 2^nd grade at Piedmont Elementary.

I love teaching, and have known since I was in elementary school that I wanted to become a teacher.   It is my desire that each of my student’s gain a passion for knowledge and education as well.

My husband Trent and I have been married for 15 years.  We have a son Tyler who will be in the 4^th grade here at DCES.  Trent is a CPA at Olson, Neaves & Company.  We enjoy going from place to place watching Tyler play his sports and spending time together as a family! We are blessed to our families here with us in OKC and love spending time with them.  We are avid OU fans and enjoy attending football games.  We are also very active at Church of the Servant.  In my spare time I love to read, bake and spend time with friends.

I am looking forward to meeting each of you and getting to know my class! It is going to be a wonderful and rewarding year!
