Safety Patrol
 

PHILOSOPHY: 

To keep kids safe, we show them how to be safe, tell them when they need to be safe, warn them if they are not being safe, and reward those who are being safe.

EXPECTATIONS:

• Be serious about your job but always remember to SMILE 
• Remind your friends not to run.
• Be sure to notice safe behavior and reward with compliments and positive remarks.
• Smile at students who are doing the right thing.
• Make sure students know you have warned them BEFORE turning in their name to the duty teacher or filling out a report.
• Be on time EVERYTIME for your duty.
• Be at your assigned duty place and follow the correct procedures.

SHOW THEM HOW TO BE SAFE:

ü      By following school rules without being reminded

ü      By being a role model of bus rules

ü      By always using positive words and tone of voice with other students

ü      By giving reward to those who are safe
