Dear Families,

Deer Creek Elementary was named a Certified Healthy School by the OK State Department of Health.  This recognition is for making a positive impact on the health of our students.   There are three levels of certification: basic, merit, and excellence. DCES earned the Excellence certification!

Creek Classic

Help DCES win the GOLDEN SHOE AWARD by having the most students sign up for the Creek Classic.  The school that wins the GOLDEN SHOE will receive an extra $2000.00 dollars! Sign up at http://deercreekclassic.com/

Pre-K Information

Enrollment information for Pre-K is currently on our website.  If you know of any families that have a child that will be in Pre-K next year please help us spread the word and let them know.

Cold Weather

It is starting to get cold outside. Please send jackets and gloves with your child to school. We go outside unless the wind chill is below 32 degrees.

Yearbooks

Yearbook sells are beginning this week. They are $25.00 a book and $5.00 extra if you want their names printed on the cover. Look for forms in your child’s bag. We do NOT get any extra books!

Did you Know???

Did you know you can search from home what books are available in the DCES library? On the DCES Website click on the Media Center tab on the left side, then click Library Catalog, next click Deer Creek Elementary School, finally click Catalog (this is a tab at the top). You can search by keyword, subject, title, author, or series. If you need help let Mrs. Franklin know at franklind@deercreek.k12.ok.us
